Test and Demo Center

Here's where you can get a feel for what an AuthorSales.com webpage will look like, and also test out various color combinations for your AuthorSales.com webpage. Note that we've designed things so that if the Author's name is blank, much of the page will not appear. We've done that so this demo section will be easy to find for first-time visitors, and so you can shut off the demo sections if you just want to test color combinations.

Enter text into the fields below, scroll down to the bottom of this section and click on the button marked "Reload page with new values" -- and then note what has happened. For example: If you change the author's name entry, that will reset the name throughout the page, and even resets the browser's title for the page. Enter a valid webpage, update the page, and click on the Author's name link. You'll go to that site. (Just use your browser's back button to get back here.)

We've limited the demo to just a few items here, but you get the idea. Obviously, we can't set up the real pages to change the owner's name on the fly -- not if you want to sell any books! But the values you enter on the Bookseller's Setup Page and the Title Setup Page will work in exactly the same way -- if not quite as quickly. Whatever values you enter will be picked up by the system and used to populate your site.

Enter Name of Author: Enter full name of website(e.g. www.authorsales.com): Enter Title of Featured Book: In a live AuthorSales.Com page, the title shown here here would be combined with the product number of one of your products to produce a Featured Title link -- and clicking on the book cover would also bring you to that featured item's detail page. In this demo, the links take you to one of our demo products.

Show Author Photo: checked> Yes checked> No On a standard AuthorSales.Com page, we'll show an author photo if you provide one. Switch from yes to no to see how the two options will look. And, by the way -- if you don't provide book cover images, we'll use a generic clip art image. Offer Autograph Options checked> Yes checked> No If you can't offer autographs, or just don't want to, just click on no, and the option goes away.
